@lesliecole49 We've hardly had any decent snowfall this year on the coastline just south of Boston. It's been dry, grey and cold with a bit of rain (mostly following snow). I'm enjoying the snow!

We've refered to it as our #pinkazalea it blooms early spring and sometimes it will bloom again in the fall (last in 2016) It's about 7' high. Behind it, over the fence is a larger, late August blooming #rhododendron

Actually, I think this is considered a rhododendron? Azalea(a type of rhododendron) has 5 stamens while other Rhododendrons have 10 or more... 💕 Beautiful color!

@lovestogarden it drove me nuts last year so I researched it... That was the easiest distinction. But at least I understood why I always mixed them up now...Azalea is just a type of rhododendron. I thought rhodies had thicker petals... 😏

This azalea tree seems a bit confused - blooming 🌸 and turning🍂 at the same time #fall

A single fall blossom on this 10 ft azalea seems like a good sign 🌸 🌸🌸 It did not bloom at all this past spring.

Help me identify this plant variety. Momma plant is an 8'+ azalea/rhododendron. Boston blizzard '15 took down large branch and root section. I potted and saved a bit. New growth is abundant now. Looking for right spot to plant in yard this fall. #azalea
