Christos
@jennlamaye oooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my good God. This is Paphiopedilum maudiae vinicolor. Well done

@Christos I couldn’t believe it! The baby decided to bloom when I wasn’t looking. I so hope I get to see the flower!

jennlamaye
@FieryJude I believe it was a super dark purple, but I can’t recall. First time it’s bloomed in three years!

Wow, very impressive plant. @jennlamaye

FieryJude
this is so exciting, @jennlamaye!! I hope you get to see the bloom too, that way we all can see it 😉😄😎
#advice please @Christos - a couple of my orchids are developing this fuzzy white growth on leaves, and this one on its bloom. 😞
Thank you @cyndi ! Time to get out the rubbing alcohol. 😉
Cinimon also works as a fabulous antifungal agent.
@demona88 thank you! I was reading about putting it on the roots. Never done that.
A dilution of hydrogen peroxide and water works very well at removing fungus too, but I haven't had issues with cinimon on the roots. I've only done it with phals though.
@jennlamaye Keep it evenly moist, never let it dry out and try to clean top and bottom of the leaves with a cotton pad dipped in a solution of 5 tablespoons of water with the juice of half lemon.
@Christos thank you so very much !
