@Acetaker it took me forever to identify this plant. A gift from a neighbor. Trying to root cuttings for more, have you ever had luck with that?

@janelleabella it's my first! I can see it's going to fill out that area so I'm excited for next year! Wait, unless they don't come back... lol

Hey Jenn😊 I don't worry about trying to root them..If u will take where there is notches in the stem,where u see new leaves spreading out and place them in some soil..b4 u know it u will have roots. Those are what run on the ground after the plant gets large and top heavy. They spread like crazy and will take over if not a eye kept them. I'll take a pic to show u what I'm talking of.,I may not explain things well..lol💞

Tradescantia, has 3 petals. Day flower has 2 commelinaceae. Very closely related.
