Definitely one of my #favoritefriday

Oh cool... Thx fellow #orchid loverβββπso what is growing zone 10Aβhow does your profile figure that out βBTW you're my First Followerββ I couldn't imagine a better first. One that loves orchids as much as meβSo what's your 2nd favorite? Mine is daisies, used to be a #sunflower

One more thing, nice shot on the orchid, have anymore β

@Honusea61 if you look at my profile- I have about 150 different orchids!

@Honusea61 10A is SW Florida. I used a growing map to figure it out. If I had to pick another type of plant- my second type would be staghorn ferns.

Amazing in so many different ways!

Superb shot and amazing flower!

Very much on my wish list now. It really is a stunning dendrobium

I still think this dendrobium is amazing

@lydiastirling this was one I had to search for because it had been on my wishlist for a while

It's going to go on my wish list now. Is it a cool or warm growing dendrobium,?

@lydiastirling hereβs a great blog. This is their culture sheet on these guys. https://travaldo.blogspot.com/2018/02/dendrobium-spectabile-care-and-culture.html

Fully open now. I love these flowers

Beautiful π

Wow!! I've never seen this before today but of course now I want one! Do they only come in yellow?

@sushiwaitress most of the hybrids of this species, that have the same shape, carry the yellow. The other hybrids that Iβve seen that are pinkinsh or green for the major color, donβt carry the shape of the species.

Yes obviously @angiie you're right

ππ

Wow, they are so beautiful but they look almost alien like! ππ

@kylers this is actually also known as the alien orchid!

So much detail π

Oh wow! That's funny. I am not the only one who thinks π½ when I see it. I absolutely love it. ππ are they hard to grow?

@kylers I donβt believe so. They love their humidity and bright light.

They are stunningly beautiful. πππ₯°
