Bird of paradise I received today from a friend that is cutting back in their garden. Was informed that the flowers are orange in nature.
Hi Jodi it's a Heliconia Psittacorum and if you put it in the ground it multiplies quite quickly. 😊 @jlsardina

Sorry Jodi read that wrong, go to your profile and hit plants find the one you want and hit the pencil on your right hit change encyclopaedia link it will delete that name hit pencil again and put new name in 😉😊 @jlsardina

@brightcolours sorry about that, I was trying to get a picture of the original patch to figure out what the flowers looked like so I could be more specific. Apparently there is a type of Heliconia is native to my area, but I'm not sure if this is it or not.
