I really must give the rooting in water method another try. A job for this morning as it’s currently raining! 👍

Morning all, I rooted a leaf from my large begonia in water, then potted it up. A few weeks later, new leaves are appearing in the pot! I’ve now cut off the original leaf to let the new leaves get some light 🤞

I rooted a leaf in water a while ago but I was too quick to pot it up and it didn’t survive 😢

That's cool, I love begonias.

Some flowers have managed to reach the surface on my large begonia. Usually they just flower underneath the leaves

No it’s one of a trio of plants we bought about three years ago @Auricula and it shares a big table with a couple of other plants @sieveheadsarah

@hebelover I put the leaf in water first and it produced some roots. I then put it in compost up to the base of the leaf. It had been about 3 months for new growth to appear but worth the wait Jason

While watering my enormous begonia today I spotted some flowers under the leaves so have managed to manoeuvre them into the light!
