Yeah, I don’t know why they don’t fully open. Even in full sun in the desert, they only open so far. 🤔🌞
@sunlovin oh that's actually good to know. I assumed they opened fully during the middle of the day while I was at work, and I'd only ever see it as it's closing when I got home in the arvo. Wonder what the reasoning is behind that 🤔. Reduced moisture loss maybe? Specific pollinators?
Yeah, I haven’t figured that one myself. I notice on other varieties of cacti too, the same thing happens. Even in the same growing conditions. I’m just going to assume it’s the individual plants own characteristics. It is possible what you said about work too. You’d have to put a camera on it. Lol. @Jod_Jod_1207
