@lovestogarden thank you, I found it at my local fruit/veg shop and thought it was rather unusual so got it. Yes I believe it's more likely a bromeliad as the leaves are quite thin and do resemble other broms in shape.
@lovestogarden thanks for that. I've never heard of that genus #dyckia before, so I looked it up and I agree it does have similar characteristics. I wonder if my specimen is a hybrid? So far I've found 1 other picture on the internet if my exact plant but it was just a photography collection with no further info Unfortunately. The hunt continues!
Oh, that should be unallowed...photos without an ID😠! 😂 It is frustrating. A hybrid is most likely, but keep looking. It is amazing. The flower will really help wittle down the possibilities. Keep me posted on the beauty.
Oh, me either. The 'Ortho' makes sense. 🦷 There are just so many names to know and such slight differences. I am so happy you got the ID! 👏👏👏 💗 Thanks for letting me know. 🤓
15/9/20. Flowers and what i assume are pups up stalks. Probably monocarpic like other Bromeliaceae
