5 years after planting these trees, we still had no apples and the trees were good sized trees when planted. We were advised to use a bat rapped in a towel on the trunk to stress the tree and look!!!! We finally have apples!!!
@bmnm, I truly thought it was an insane idea but I can't argue now, lol!! It was advised to do this in the spring prior to or at early onset of flowering. Do you have other apple trees in the area?

Wow. I have one apple tree and have never gotten any apples. I just thought it badly needed pruned.
