Does anyone know why a clematis might suddenly do this? It's been thriving until now. Could it be slugs? Any help would be greatly appreciated
I'm guessing this is growing in a pot Julian @juliancik ......it could possibly need a feed if so :)
Try tomatorite I've read it on here somewhere ☺
@flof1952 @diane76 it is growing in a pot but I've been giving it a plant feed regularly. I haven't tried the tomato one but I have one here so I'll try it now. I found a slug on the pot above it the other day which I removed so thought it might be that. Thank you very much
@flof1952 @Diane76 hello! I hope you don't mind me coming back to you but I am hoping you may be able to point me towards a good resource for this. I have been using the tomato feed as per instructions but it hasn't made any difference (though I have been reading that this is something I should have been doing anyway, so thank you). It is only affecting 1or maybe 2 stems, the rest of the plant seems fine. I can only find 1ref online to "single stem" probs but doesnt go into any more detail. Thnx
Maybe try re-potting and put some gravel into the bottom for drainage as I know they don't like to be too wet. See if that helps?
@diane76 yes, it seems like the only other thing to try. This'll be fun! attached as it is to everything above it ;) Thank you
@Diane76 @flof1952 I seem to have problem under control. Has started to flower
Great news @juliancik
