Hiya 👋 I've just bought two of these and was wondering if the can at all be planted in a half barrel pot or do they definitely need to be put into the ground? #amateurgardenerhere 😊

Mine is in a pot but has hardly grown over the last few years . I get about three bunches of grapes a year , so purely ornamental really . ( very Sm all bunches) I suspect if you want a setups vine in this country you have to plant it in the ground . I no expert on vines ( only the end product ) though so someone else on Gardentags may be able to help more . We do cut ours back hard every year as I was told you should do this if you want s decent crop . I suspect if I left it it may have been
