What can I say. This Rhynchostylis gigantea var. alba has left me speechless. Flowering again after 4 years! They are difficult because we don’t have the ideal conditions in our hot lowlands so their flowering is sporadic. 2 inflorescence with one more on the way, with a deep spicy earthy fragrance quite unique to the Rhynchostylis genera. | Penang Island | #orchids #orchid #rhynchostylis

Excruciatingly slow growing. It’s been a month and the flower spikes have only grown an extra inch. Let’s hope this patience pays off. | Penang Island
