A winter update on my Aeonium. The bottom florets are branches that have broken off. They easily root again in the pot. January 2021

My plant was so top heavy, it got knocked over and one of the rosettes broke off. Good news though, I potted it up, put it under the grow light and voilà! February 2020

An update on my Aeonium. Even though it's been under the grow light this winter, I can hardly wait to put it outside so that it can fill out again. April 2019.

This was previously identified as an Aeonium #schwartzkopf, but would you please confirm? @Yollymac @KelsiBriana @Muzz67 @donnotdonny It doesn't seem to be turning darker and the leaves are not flat, but more rounded up.

@KelsiBriana Yes, the same one from autumn '17

The aeonium atropurpurem seems close. When do they get the dark purple colour? It is in full sun, but the leaves seems to stay green? @KelsiBriana

@gjones. Thanks! I wanted to research the succulent to see how I can get a richer colouring on it.

I don't have much aeonium experience apart from aeonium haworthii. I do think it looks like atropurpureum though. And yeah it might just be too happy to show the colors off from when you first got it.

@KelsiBriana @DonNotDonny Thanks for your thoughts. I'll see what happens as the summer goes by.

Mine looks exactly like your late autumn image and it's an atropurpureum. Mine changes colors with the seasons. Yours will probably go back to purple in the fall, just wait :)

@grynnat. Thanks. I will wait and see. Do you have yours outside all year round? I have to take mine indoors when it gets too cold.
