Asclepias incarnata 'Cinderella'

This is the second year I have grown milkweed and the first year that I have seen two Monarch caterpillars munch on the leaves. July 2021 #wildlifewednesday

I started growing tropical milkweed this year and love seeing these fantastic caterpillars😃🦋🐛

They say, learn something new each day…..I have just added to my bank of learned information…..I never knew that this caterpillar was the monarch….thanks!

It started off with one stem from seed and now has multiple to three. I hope you find another type of milkweed that would work in your garden. @Mimi58

Let's hope I save at least two this summer. They have now disappeared and hopefully form their chrysalis somewhere in my yard. @txgardener

They are very interesting to observe, I can literally see the whole leaf disappear as they chomp away @cowdenkyle

Yes, so neat to see them grow a little bit each day. I was a little sad when they went away. I hope you get to see yours form into butterflies. @gjones
