Nepenthes 'Alata'

This was from a trade I made with a Facebook fellow gardener. I waited two months for the pitchers to form on the new leaves. 18 June 2020

Do you have the same kind? I've been watering it with rain water and would like to put it outside. Do you feed it any bugs? @philstalder

Yes Same one. I keep it hanging in my shower. I have a water filter on the shower head and I fill the cups. Haven’t checked for bugs but I don’t have any in the house so it must be working. Lol. I’m thinking of putting it outside because the bugs are terrible this year here. Good luck with yours. 😊

Oh and no I haven’t fed it any bugs. I should try. 🙂

Thanks for the tips! Good to know it will be okay without bugs. The new pitchers are not opening their tops yet, but I saw something similar to fruit flies inside the older pitchers. @philstalder
