@terrimclaughlin they may do best in the shade for the afternoons as up here they like the sun but they normally only do well in zones 3 to 8 however, if you have a spot that it can get the morning sun but avoid the hot afternoon sun, it may do okay. May also need to make sure they have a rich soil. May also do well as an indoor plant for the summer days but outside for spring fall and winter in the pot, that way it doesn't get exhausted in the summer heat!!!
@terrimclaughlin I would try it in spot the first year or two just to see if it does well in a shaded spot, if it gets weak during the late summer hot months then bring it inside for some TLC and see if that helps 💞
