Camellia williamsii 'E G Waterhouse'

Moved this from a pot into a garden last year, it looks very happy😁 The original plant about 30 years old, now about 12ft x 8ft, sent out a runner , managed to separate it successfully🤙🏻

I’ve not had much success growing camellias even though I can manage azaleas ... any tips ?

Cornwall has very acidic soil which is very beneficial, have you tried dressing the soil with Iron of the Sulphate and ericaceous compost? 😊 @susiwoo

@kathy sometimes ericaceous soil but not the iron of sulphate but will give it a go ! 👍🏼thank you

@linfoster has it never flowered Lin or is it a new plant? Maybe the same as Sue⬆️ worth a go I reckon

This was split maybe 4/5 years ago, about ,3ft tall with loads of buds. Is yours in the garden or a pot? Give a try with the SoI and ericaceous 😊
