Help me identify this plant

I've only ever known this as a Lenten rose and know it's a hellebore of some sort it is in a corner of the garden I have ignored for years

Yes it's a Lent (or Lenten) Rose, either Helleborus orientalis or H. x hybridus. Both come in a variety of colours.

I'm thinking of clearing it appear to have a mahonia, daisy bush, 2 rhododendrons, daffodils, primroses, primulas lantern rose and one heck of a load of ivy!!!!😂 @barbaramatthews
