@brightcolours no, trying to take cuttings from my mum's before she chops it down. I should have been more explicit in the comment lol... Third time trying to propogate ;)

Ah!!! I’ve never tried propagating bougainvillea but I do know often variegated varieties are more temperamental in growth compared to their “green” cousins.

@brightcolours this one is quite robust (compared to other variegated ones I've seen) so thought it was worth saving. My mum hates it so I thought I'd try my hand at a bonsai... No harm in trying right?!?? Lol

@brightcolours it also pushes out all bronze-tinged white stems which are gorg (I know they are of photosynthetic use to the plant but they r lovely)!

Sounds very worth it!!

Have you tried some cuttings in water too?

@brightcolours they rotted in water. I think it is because they have to be semi hardwood.
