I love growing unusual and interesting things and am teaching my son to love it too. I have a tiny mostly potted garden in Newcastle NSW.

@jacaranda the fruit tastes great too... although I've only had 2 from it lol. I'd better get out there with a paintbrush and do some pollinating! :)

What does the fruit taste like? Peanut butter? 🤔

Pot bound much? 😵

Yikes. I would nick it with a box cutter and prune the roots pretty aggressively

@MelanieAt I will when I put him in the ground but he has to stay in a pot for now. I roughed him gently but I didn't want to go all out and get him too excited over one a few more inches of potting mix. Poor poor baby wants a proper home!! 😢

@brightcolours all of the pots had dried out so were light. I've watered them to increase their weight BUT if there are any over tomorrow morning I'm planning a Bunnings visit to pick up some rocks/bricks/lead weights!

Try using a wetting agent in the watering to saturate the dried out potting mix

@carolt Thanks Carol ☺ It's good advice! The mix is still viable just temporarily dried out. About 3 times a year I plunge the pots into a tub of wetting agent and seasol and leave to soak for ~15-30min. It helps maintsin the mix viability and prolongs complete mix dessication.
