The papaya seedlings aren't showing yet (and I'm not confident the seed was viable). I needed to prune a bit off my cercis so thought why not shove it in there and see what happens?

She might be the last honey bee in my garden for quite some time :(
Beautiful. So sad for our poor old bees.
It's not all bad, our native bees are not effected by this outbreak, only the invasive European bees.
@Jod_Jod_1207 so long as they don't get baited. I'm a bit paranoid about my TC hive. I asked DPI but they wouldn't /couldn't tell me if they were going to out any baits within the flying radius of my girls.

Bit worrying you don’t know where the baits might be.

This is the pot I put the cercis seeds in, and that is a seedling... Have I managed to do the (relatively) impossible? They've been in there for 7 months and I had nearly given up hope.
@grantham @KariSamuel
I think you did well! Most are propagated by green wood starts! Fingers crossed for you! Looks like you have true leaves in the center!

OMG a seed pod!
Let me know if you have any luck with the seeds! I have tried starting them with seeds, bare root saplings and with soft wood cuttings - without success.

This was a special order from Yamina Rare Plants https://yaminarareplants.com.au who very kindly brought it to Plant Lovers for me 😍😍 and I am super lucky because she hasn't even flowered yet!! When I saw this on their website I instantly fell in love!
Wow Kathy big haul. Some interesting ones in there I've never heard of 👌
@nej I had a great time!! 😁
I bet you did, have you got room for all these?
@nej nope!!! Lol 😂😂
I think I'm starting to struggle to find room at my place too, but, you know, OBSESSION with plants we have
