I like that you used toilet rolls great idea. Do you plant the toilet roll aswell?

@kristina2 yep I plant the whole thing (making sure that none is above ground surface otherwise I find it acts to wick the water AWAY from the roots!). I find it saves a lot of faffing around and avoids unnecessary root disturbance.

Great idea i will hav to try it. I noticed you reuse packaging for seed trays to. I am kicking myself cuz i bought tons of seed trays years ago and since i have them i use them but the amount of packaging that i throw away that could be used as seed trays makes me feel sick. Have you tried using strawberry punnets as mini greenhouses. I've thought that it could be done but havn't tried it yet.

@kristina2 I have thought about it but like you I have bought a bunch of things over the years so use them. I'd like to grow enough not to have to buy them but I'm not there yet 😀

At least 30% germination so far! Woohoo!! This one has only been up 2 days! They grow so fast!!!

@nej @latebloomer @lovestogarden @debs69 @lit I just cooked up the first lot and they are mild, kind of sweet and crispy. Very nice!! Def recommend. They r tropical tho so some of u might need some extra protection for them.
