So my bleeding heart has come back with a vengeance 😳 my questions are: is it normal for it to be flowering as much as this so early on? Or should I be trimming off the flower so it puts energy into growing leaves? Only planted him last year so not yet familiar with how it grows back and I'm confused 😣 #advice #help #topruneornottoprune #bleeding-heart
Looks like a healthy plant to me 😊 It might produce more foliage after it finishes flowering but I wouldn't remove the flowering stems. They're just so lovely 💕
Thanks @ublaszko, you are right they are very lovely and so unique 🥰 I'm in love... it's much bigger than it was last year, I may need to get a bigger pot for him 🤔 ...pot shopping?? Now theres a shame 😂😉
@ublaszko oh no how sad! I'm sure it will 🙏🏼😁 I had to cut mine right down, about 2inches left on the bottom after a storm in November snapped him 😭 I wasnt sure it was going to return... but looks like it's done the world of good, maybe the chop encouraged more flowers? 🤷🏻♀️
Mine usually die back midsummer once the weather gets too hot and then start again in spring. It might be too early still as we had snow and hail last week 😨
Ah yes we had an unusual warm week or so in January and then again end of February, makes sense now silly me 😂 aw poor you having hail and snow still! 😟 we haven't had snow at all this year, touch wood! 🙏🏼

Looks great in flower! Mine hasn't even started showing any flowerbuds yet? I've had it for 3 years now so I might need to repot mine too 👍
