@christineb they take up so much room If I had a big garden they would be perfect but nope I need the room for another dahlia which flower more than these do in a pot 😄

I’ve just given mine to a friends daughter for her new garden Keely, only 3 flowers this year but loads of leaves , just taking up to much space @Keely

Be patient, I brought a friend one from Madeira and it took 10 years to flower (she said it would have been thrown out if it had not been a gift) but now every year it is covered in flowers.

@lovemygarden65 that's same here Marilyn its in a pot on small patio in front as that's where I get the sun no big space in garden for it will put my dwarf ones back in and give this to a neighbour I could have another lovely dahlia on patio 😆

@joannie.a I know what you are saying but it takes up so much room with impact on patio I will still get to see it in neighbours garden we share same footpath 😆😀

@Keely at least you can still enjoy it and I am sure your neighbour will be pleased.

Help any agapanthus experts the snow has completely flattened this and the middle of the leaves have gone white. Anyone know what is best to do with leaves its on its 3rd year had just filled the pot so had never flowered but was looking promising for this year. I don't know enough about them as to what to do? #advice

Oh no, I wish I could help @keely but I only just bought the one I've got a few days ago. I'm looking forward to seeing it flower but I hope your's can be saved. How odd that's it gone white in the middle. Fingers crossed for your Aggie 😊

Had a search can’t find anything 🤷‍♀️ about the leaves apart from if they are yellowing it means a virus and dispose of them......Debra do you eat agapanthus or asparagus 😉 @debrascott

On reading this I’ve made a big mistake with mine coz I took all the leaves off them at winter 🙄🙄 why 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ lord only knows 🤦🏼‍♀️

@nessas there are two types, one keeps its leaves over winter, and the other the leaves die off over winter. The deciduous ones are more hardy. Hope that helps

I've never had one before but from memory seem to remember they prefer to be slightly pot bound, the roots are growing through bottom so think i will leave in this pot for now see if they flower @bigemrg @titchyfra @clickchick
