@italydiva I've a few varieties in border and pots this year this is one I split last year so have two in this year lovely Pompom one. Dahlias prob my favourite flower for Summer so many varieties to chose from 💕 look forward to seeing your surprise one pop up 😆

Last year this was the first and nearly last dahlia to bloom colours were striking this year the blooms are tiny and dull the sun hasn't helped any of my poor dahlias but at least they are trying for me poor babies

Still looks lovely to me Keely 💕 I haven’t had any luck with the ones I’ve tried to grow. Find them really hard to look after.

The hot dry weather has had an adverse effect on a lot of plants here. My dahlias haven't done much, but that's pretty normal for me, lol! This one's a beauty 💓

It's my first year at growing Dahlias one of them I love the other...not so much 😁

@AlisaJ oh they are my favourite summer plants if I had the space I would have a bed full of them do well!in pots or soil for me and a little dead heading is all I do to them but do have to take them up each year and store them due to clay soil this year is not a good year though 😥

I was hoping to get diff coloured Pom pots, do you think it's a trait then that they flop 🤔

@titchyfra the ones I had years ago Franca were yellow and alot bigger than this one back in those days I never supported anything and didn't know much about gardening so that probably didn't help at the time I'm sure as years gone by they have improved the stems as these are much shorter than I recall my yellow ones so don't snap as much 😀

Why in the world is this named after Franz Kafka?!? 😳
