@charlotte @cazstaks thank you they have been potted on and nipped out now 5 of these and 5 purple ones, other colours not quite ready to pot on yet but won't be long.

@struddles they take pretty easy so fingers crossed some varieties take a bit longer than others so persevere with them my others aren't quite ready just yet 😄

I’m a bit new to seeds, what do you mean by ‘nipped out’

@cazstaks on these you can see tiny side shoots Caroline if you don't nip the middle stem out it won't get bushy so just I just snipped it with small snippers and it will bush out oppose to been leggy 👍😄

I am waiting for some roottrainers to arrive 😃 if they are good enough for Monty they are good enough for me haha

@cazstaks I recycle plastic cups and use those for long roots 👍😄

@rachelbrooks cuttings took so easy from this one really strong I took them back end of summer kept them in house over winter and put back in summerhouse very early spring when I potted them on, think in total I have about 16 with all dif colours 😄

@jeatacake yes Jeff I did and I kept them in house over winter on window sills got all different colours, some success some not but certainly got enough for this year 😂😂😂

I was wondering if I dug up and protected my Osteospermums will they survive @keely @mikethegardener @justin or anyone else can help

@tina I mulch mine and keep them in some survive but not as good as the ones I do from cuttings though depends how harsh winter is but worth taking cuttings and putting in greenhouse or window cill over winter seem to take ok if you take late summer early autumn 👍

@Keely @tina @justin If you're somewhere where cold & wet winters are likely then yes protection is definately better as a safeguard. Keely's right though, cuttings will perform better than those you try & protect as they have more vigour. Shout if you need anymore help Tina...!😊😊😊

You won't have had them before as they are new. Main advantage over single forms? They don't close up in low light.

@robbiec i noticed that on your write up so got even more excited, hoping to take some cuttings from them and have more for next year as took cutting from some last year that have survived, as soon as I saw it I remembered yr photo you posted close up off and thought got to have that will go nice with the lavenders, salvia, lilac scabious and blue veronica down side of path for summer 👍
