@kellieleighcarey You need to remove the sprouting growth from the graft stock. The graft stock is the strongest, if sprouts are left on, they will outgrow the fruiting tree. Remove them against the graft stock so they will not resprout. I put my foot against the trunk and snap them out clean against the trunk. @brightcolours

This tree sprouts off of the stump low down and was apparently 'grafted as well a the other one I own... do I need to cut the canopy off each year?
