Very welcome Kerry. That is great news. My daughter planted these and they were huge. She heard they do not flower the first year so she cut them all back. Was not sure if that is true. 🤷‍♀️

@hkyfvr I think they’re biennial so won’t flower til the following year. I cheated and bought this so I didn’t have to wait 🙊

@hkyfvr next summer and forevermore! They’ll self seed like mad every year 😛 my neighbour grew a few at the end of her garden a few years back and the seedlings now show up in every tiny crevice 😂 they even grow out of her shed wall!!! 🤣

Thanks Kerry. I have seed from a red double flowered one from last year that died & I bought some new ones online. All have germinated, so it's 🤞 for next year. Hope you get seed from yours, let me know if you need any, as I have loads, including some for black flowered ones 👍

@jeatacake they never seem to have much trouble germinating do they 😜 my good neighbours have a few in their garden and they’ve self seeded in the cracks of my pavement, all the gravel, even have one growing out the side of their shed 🤣 the black ones sound interesting 😋 if you have and spare seed from them I’d love to try grow them. Thank you ☺️

@alan1111 it’s only one plant that’s just going on and on 😜 no leaves left but the stalk is still flowering away 😂

They never (for me anyway) flower in their first year, so with an autumn sowing & overwintering the seedlings in the greenhouse, there's a chance they may flower next year 🤞

Mine started to germinate in less than a week in the greenhouse, so they're we worth a try now too 👍

@jeatacake I never plan on it but I’ve killed off some I grew from seed already 😂 well the heatwave killed them. But have some with buds on too so I’m a 50/50 kinda girl 😆

50% is never bad from seed to flowering 👍😊
