@hkyfvr thankfully they stayed looking good after the leaves were stripped. Most of my Aquilegias have been attacked by sawfly larvae 😩

I only cut mine back a couple of weeks because of mildew. A bit late for a second flush. I didn't know you could get a second round

I cut mine back and they started growing again. A few flowers popped out too. Mostly foliage though. Very nice 👍😍

Yep, I'm well pleased with them 😁 that's great news about your mum hopefully she'll be back to herself in no time. We're doing good mum having good and bad days I'm doing much better getting back in the garden has helped, lost without it

I love these Kerry, they're huuuge,I grew a load from seed years ago, but one year the greenfly did a right number on them so I'm growing some more this year. Mine are McKanas hybrids on the packet, not giants, hoping they're one and the same! @kez001uk

They're little buggers aren't they 😬 Still not germinated so got a way to go yet. Gardening has dragged me kicking and screaming by the balls towards the concept of patience. I get it now 😁 @kez001uk

@gardengimp 😂🤣 it’s a hard lesson to learn though isn’t it! Rewarding when things are a success 😛 I’m having trouble getting any aquilegia to germinate the last few times I’ve tried 🙈

It is rewarding, I make sure I tell anybody who visits I grew them myself 😃 I seem to remember germinating the last ones down the side of the house, just left the to the elements, no greenhouse. When they get too much sun the seeds don't make good contact on the drying compost. I never have the self seeding problem, I'm too much of a dead heading ninja @kez001uk

@gardengimp and so you should! Oh that might be worth a go then. I’ll try them outdoors 😁 so glad there’s another deadheading freak around 🤣 I try so hard to leave things to seed but can’t stand the untidiness 😆😆😆
