I've been shopping online today... Only 3 plants though. 😉 Where do you buy your shrubs? I seem to be getting lots of perennials but I need to buy more shrubs for height.

I got centaurea delbata which I think you had in previous years. I also bought a dark purple delphinium and a bright pink foxglove. I think the back garden is turning out to be just different shades of purple 🙈🤣

@ublaszko I grew that from seed and absolutely love it 😍 the delphinium sounds gorgeous 😋 plenty of purple is never a bad thing 💜

I got a purple centaurea delbata. I still need more flowers for summer... I was sitting on the bench yesterday and thinking I'll have quite a few gaps so I'll need to look for some shrubs.

@ublaszko all 3 are beautiful 😋 it’s such a new garden that gaps are inevitable. But I’m sure you have ideas about what to fill them with 😛

I think my plans are different from the original plan 🤣🤣 I've been buying a fair amount of silver leaved plants and herbs to plant among roses. I'm also going to plant vegetables and fruit among perennials and shrubs because I think it's good for diversity and soil health. The back garden is slightly more formal and the front garden it's turning out to be pretty informal.

@ublaszko great idea to plant veg with flowers. Great for pollination and pest control, plus most fruit & veg has pretty flowers 😍 the more you live in the space I expect it’ll dictate to you rather than you making plans for it 😂

It's nice when the garden suprise you and you have something different than what you could thought was possible 😍 I find myself planting much brighter and blowsier flowers than I thought I would enjoy. @kez001uk

@ublaszko maybe the bigger space helps because it’s not all so obvious, like you can put the floofier plants where they look less floofier from a distance 😂

😂😂 That's it! This garden has opened up so many opportunities and I'm even entertaining the idea of getting an allotment 🙈😲 Unless I can somehow fit fruit trees and soft fruit bushes in the back garden (and possibly front). I just want to grow different varieties of berries and eat them straight from the garden 😍😍 And plant some trees for pies 😂
