Blackfly have ruined one of mine too. I had to take off so many distorted flowers. In my case it was ants to the rescue. The flowers are coming back properly now 😍💗💗
Nice to see the ladybugs at work. So many pests in the garden this year. 😔
@gjones @KariSamuel @hkyfvr I checked it tonight and virtually all the bugs are gone! Some better looking flowers opening too 😁 need to mass breed ladybirds 🤣
@pelly it’s amazing how destructive they are 😡 I didn’t know ants ate them 😮 I’ll stop hozing them off my plants now😅

The ants are very useful against aphids and they don’t damage the plants 👍
@pelly I’m guessing red ants aren’t as helpful? Keep finding them under my pots 😡

It is isn’t it. I had thought the ants were eating the blackfly before the ladybirds arrived 🤷♀️

That’s beautiful, glad it recovered. One of mine is still a mess but I think it was the heat as well as the aphids 🤔
