💙✨💙 #delphinium #delphinium-pacific-giants
Those buds almost look like berries. Looking very promising 👌💙
Mine are at the same stage as yours 💙💙💙
Ooh, the team is back. #pacificgiants 💜💜
@jeatacake they’re almost as pretty as the flowers 💙 one plant I get excited to see every year 😁
@pelly won’t be long til we both have flowers 😍
@novicegardenlover and hopefully with a vengeance! Need to make up for a disappointing last season! 😂
They're great plants. As usual, mine are dilly dallying! 😀
@jeatacake I think your plants are just more relaxed and less anxious than mine 😉🤣😂
I think bone idle & lazy might be more accurate! 🤣🤣🤣
@jeatacake 😆😆😆
My delphiniums are only 6” out of the ground 😔 what do you feed yours on ?

I have some seedlings for this one 🌱
WHOWWWWWW ❤️🥰
Looking promising 👍 Mine are (as usual) very slow to get going.
@pelly you’ll love them Jane! There’s some beautiful colours in this mix 😍 look forward to seeing yours 😁
@Sesiltamen thanks Silvio 😊 your English seems great to me!
@jeatacake always excited to see these on the way. The only one so far - the others are on a normal schedule with yours 😉
It won’t be until next year Kerry. I meant to sow them last autumn so they could go in the ground this spring but I only remembered them a few weeks ago. They’re still tiny seedlings 🌱
@pelly 😂 I always forget the late sowings too 😜 will be worth the wait 😋
I remembered my foxgloves and one or two other bits but not these 🙄
@pelly 😜 least you’ll have them early next year 😁

Beautiful blooms. 💙 the name sounds like a sports team #pacificgiants
@novicegardenlover it really does 😂 an American football team in the making 🤣
That colour!! 💙💙💙
Great colour & the perfect blue 💙💙💙
@anges thanks Ange 😁 it’s one of the best blue flowers I’ve come across 💙
@jeatacake thanks Jeff ☺️ gotta love a blue delphinium 😋
@gjones thank you Katy 😀

I totally love the colour! 😍💙
Wow! That's almost a florescent blue 💙 One of mine has only just started to throw up its flower stalk
@natii thank you Natalie 😀
@columbiariver it’s a really vibrant blue, just love it 😍
@gjones thanks Katy 😁
@jeatacake it really is electric! And hoping to get plenty of seed 😋 yay! I’m glad to hear it’s finally doing its thing 😁
@columbiariver can never have too many 😉 I’m going to try save seed so you’ll be welcome to some 😊
Cheers Kerry. Mine's really putting on a growth spurt now, maybe after all the rain we've had?
@jeatacake as annoying as it was the rain really has made a difference to the garden. Everything seems to have shot up 😜
If soo has an effect, as during a long dry spell, growth slows right down. Maybe good timing too if we're getting a mini heatwave 👍
@jeatacake like last year when it hampered so much of the summer flowering plants 😫 dreading Saturday and it’s 30 degree heat 🥵 just hope it doesn’t do too much damage to our gardens 🤞🏻
It will only be for a few days this time they reckon & there should still be plenty of moisture in the ground from a the fairly recent rain 🤞

The colour is perfect 💙💙💙
@gjones it’s so so bright. Electric 💙
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom thanks Elaine 😁
@anges isn’t it 😍💙
Looking magnificent 💙👌
@jeatacake thanks Jeff 😁
Beautiful !!! 😍😍
💙luv the deep blue colour @kez001uk
@sherrisgarden thanks Sherri 😀
@ukjohnny thank you John 😃
@phyl1978 thanks Phyllis 😄 really is a perfect blue 💙

That's a great colour! 😍😍
That looks exciting
@ublaszko the metallic sheen is so pretty but misleading 😜
@Hayley.R would love if they had petals like this but they open bright blue. Still gorgeous but very different 💙
That would have been fab if the petals were like this on the inside 😆😆
@ublaszko I tried working out which one it is from looking back at last years. They’re actually quite dark and have a fair bit of ‘shimmer’ but nothing like the buds 😖

Jealous! 😍😍😍 Mine isn't showing a flower spike so I think I'll have to wait until next year. I love how rich the colours are 💙💙
@ublaszko thank you ☺️ did yours not flower at all this year?
Nope but I only bought it in June. I was hoping I would get some flowers towards the end of the summer but I don't think so now. I bought them as a young plant from Wilko so theoretically should be ready to flower this year.
@ublaszko I remember mine not flowering the year I got them but they flowered 3 times last year and are on their second now. I hope yours has a late flower spurt 😁
That sounds good! Thank you 👍👍
You definitely have the magic touch with delphiniums! 👌
@gjones thank you 😄💙
@jeatacake you’re too kind ☺️ I’m going to try grow these from seed next year so we will see if it’s my magic touch or @thompsonmorgan1855 plant power 🤣
They are moderately easy to grow from seed, but unlikely to flower until year 2, but worth a go 👍
@jeatacake I’m used to that with aquilegia 😂 learning to be a patient gardener 😇

@gjones thank you ☺️ was a complete accident but got my first flying shot 😁
Great shot!
@seclarke thanks Stacey 😁
@cyndi thank ya Cyndi 😋
Wow! What a great photo Kerry! That’s so beautiful. 😍
Brilliant capture Kerry 🐝💙
Fab photo 😍
At the right moment 👌👌👌 Superb photo Kerry!
That's lovely Kerry, perfectly timed!
Great photo Kerry 👍🐝👌💙
@Yollymac thank you 😁

Love how they turn blue as they fade 💙
Nice one 👌 Another 2nd flowering?
Very pretty 😍😍
Beautiful colours 💜
@gjones @pelly @suerichards thank you all 😁
@jeatacake thank you Jeff ☺️ another second flowering 😁 second flush is better than the first on quite a few of my plants
Noticed that with a few on here recently. No such luck here 🙄
@jeatacake always next year 😁
I'll be having a good early chop next year! 😁
@jeatacake seems to do the trick 😋
👍👍👍

Wow it's stunning! 😍 I love the deep colour 😊
That blue...😮💙
@natii @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom thank you both 😊 These are so striking and even better in their second flush!
@gjones unashamedly blue aren’t they 💙
@kez001uk fab 💙💙

I have one flowering for the second time and my others all have their second spikes too 💙💙
Did you cut them back straight away after the first flowering? Never got mine to flower twice.
@gjones second bloom and is looking better than the first ☺️
@pelly they seem to come through faster on second flush. Just glad they returned for us 😁
@jeatacake I did. As soon as they lose their flowers I cut the spikes but after they’re all gone I cut everything down to soil level. Had new leaves within a week or so 😛
Cut the flower spikes at the very bottom Jeff, that should encourage new ones @jeatacake 👍👍
Thanks ladies. I shall remember that next year 👍 @kez001uk & @pelly
You're welcome Jeff @jeatacake 😊😊

Second round of flowers 😁
@gjones they’d go lovely with your blue one 💙
Very nice. You don't see many white ones 👌
@jeatacake it’s always the first to flower too 😋
Before the other coloured ones?
@jeatacake yeah the purple are usually next and the deep blue last. From 4 flowerings they’ve always kept routine 😂
That's brilliant if you're a delhinium fan, to have a succession of flowering 👍💜💙
@jeatacake are you not a delphinium fan? Were one of the first successes I had so a little attached to the returning beauties 😁
Oh I am, I love them, but mine didn't flower so well this year
@jeatacake I’m sorry to hear that 😟 they’re really special when they are at their best 😊
They are 👍

@kez001uk stunning 💜❤
Wonderful 💙💙💙 Miles ahead of mine!
Stunning! Beautiful colour!!
Wow what a fabulous colour....must try them next year I’ve never had any success with them....💙🤍💙
