Fabulous colours
@alan1111 thanks Alan 😀
@gjones a little disappointed the colours weren’t more varied this year but they are lovely little flowers. So bright! 😎
Gorgeous 😊
@bluefox23 thanks Alison 😛 still didn’t get any other colours though 😫 think those damn birds that dug up my garden made sure they destroyed all but pink ones 🤣
I won’t tell you that I found a totally different colour of them on one of my plants today then!! 🙊 I’ll post a pic tomorrow!!!
@bluefox23 Alison! You have even more different ones?? 😜 look forward to seeing your photos 😁

So this x 100 pots , for the 4th time this week. No idea what’s doing it. Happens in the space of a couple of hours. Absolutely decimating my garden so am at the point of giving it all up. Horrible 😞
Looks like something has been digging in your pots but that seems a bit too big a hole for a little house sparrow to dig out. Looks a bit more like cat has been digging in there, similar to when I've found my neighbour's cat to come round for a wee. Keep an eye out and see who's out there and if it's a cat you can make a homemade citrus spray or sprinkle some pepper. So sorry to see this 💔
I had a look online and it could be birds, foxes, squirrels or rats. Do you know if it's happening during the day or at night? The tip I found online was to sprinkle cayenne pepper on top of the compost but I once didn't have any hot pepper and instead went out with a pepper grinder and it worked as well. Easier to do an even layer across the surface with the pepper grinder 😅 I'm not as crazy as I sound! @kez001uk @auricula
Oh no! Hope you catch the culprit soon
Oh no 🤦🏼♀️ how upsetting....I think it’s a cat cos they like soft soil they use to do it in my vegetable patch/box when I dug it out it was full of 💩 and that’s why I gave up the veg..looking at it again it could be birds looking for worms...don’t give up try and deter...👊🏼
Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry Kerry! I know how you feel! I've had squirrels do this! I never really stopped them they just quit on there own🤦🤷💘😍
Could be squirrels Kerry, although never known ours to cause quite so much damage. Have you thought about getting a wildlife cam to identify the culprit and then you'll be able to find the best way to deal with it. Don't give up as we love seeing your plant pics. 🙂
I have cats digging out (and leaving unpleasant presents) in my pots on a regular basis. Really annoying! I’m going to try some of these cat repellent recipes when I get a mo. https://www.wikihow.com/Make-Homemade-Cat-Repellent
Blackbirds are little buggers in pots. Caught them in mine many times, especially the youngsters. Looked like the pot had been blown over so much compost on the floor 😌
That damage and hole remind me of the squirrels in my garden 😠😠😠. Horrible when this happens, heart breaking 💔. Hope you can save some
Poor you
Any lemon or pepper will deter cats 👍@gardendan84 My cat leaves the room if I start peeling a satsuma 😅 Also, don't leave any bare soil and cover recently disturbed soil with something as cats are pretty lazy and generally only bother with soft soil.

@bluefox23 got a star 🤩
Perfect 👌 Hides the leaves too! 😉
Simply stunning...💞
@jeatacake that’s the absolute best part! Can see the spongy little things as I type 😝
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom thanks Elaine ☺️ they are such beautiful flowers 💕
I put some in a hanging basket many years ago (in a different house) and it was amazing when the sun was out....and someone nicked it, they had the cheek to stand on a pot to reach it... 😠
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom they look stunning in the sun 😎 oh my god, that’s beyond just walking past and nabbing something 😲 to nick a hanging basket is another level low 🤪
I phoned police and they said they nick them and sell them on markets..😠
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom a stall of random baskets 😂 insanity!
Yay! I think it’s these vivid pink ones that have the star. You’re right about them getting better. Groups of flowers together look great! 😁
@columbiariver thank you Laura 😁 one of my favourites to grow 💕
@bluefox23 it’s the only one I’ve noticed it on so far. But since I’ve been taking photos I’ve noticed every colour has a different middle 😜 love stuff like that 🤣 they are great in groups, especially when there’s a mix of colours 😍

@gjones I didn’t notice but you’re right! They were great last year so had to sow some more this year 😋
That's a great colour. I have a few in flower but they're not as bold as this one ❤
Can’t wait for mine to open, getting lots of buds 😊😁
@jeatacake they’re so vibrant, even the foliage has some great colours - even though it’s gross 😝
@bluefox23 yours looks fantastic 😍 aren’t the buds the weirdest things though. Look like squishy green crosshead screws 🤣
Really? It always looks sugar coated to me! 😁
Two more opened this afternoon/evening: different shades of pink 💕
@jeatacake that’s a much better description! Might make me squirm less 😆
@bluefox23 they won’t stop flowering now 😛😍 looking forward to your photos 😁 how is your partner doing?
Lol Kerry! Sounds like you have a rare phobia there....... of mesembryanthemun leaves!
@jeatacake I think I may have 😂 there has to be some incredibly niche group I can attend 🤣
Could be. Maybe a specialist branch of that famous (& expensive) one in London where all the celebs go. Room there for a GT celeb I reckon 😉

@auricula I’m sorry the heat destroyed yours 😞 they’re gorgeous little plants though aren’t they. And the foliage is even fascinating! The colours are amazing 🌈
I've got some seeds for these for next year. Really hope they come out as well as yours 😊
@bluefox23 they didn’t look like much to start with, in fact I was going to bin them at one point. But as soon as it started heating up they exploded! You won’t be disappointed with them Alison 😁😁😁
Looking forward to spring!
@bluefox23 can’t come quick enough huh 🤣
I really don't enjoy this time of the year for so many reasons!! I could easily hibernate from October to February!! 😂
@bluefox23 oh I hope it whizzes through to spring for you ☺️ it’s not a time of year I’ve gardened through yet as last year there were much bigger priorities. But quite looking forward to seeing what autumn and winter in the garden is like 😋
@gjones thank ya 😁 I have more than I thought. Went around watering today and noticed a few little hidden gems. It’s nice discovering things you thought were gone 😀
I'm looking forward to winter pics especially if we get snow ❄️ ⛄️
Still doing great 👍 I think mine got eaten by slugs, but will have been killed off by now anyway I think as it was icy a few days before I left.
@jeatacake bloody slugs 😡 I’ve read it’s been frosty up north so it’s likely been a visitor to your garden 😞
Yes, there was a thin layer of ice in the bird bath on around the 7th, although the cosmos plants survived it. Not sure what will still be there when I get home though! 😕

Wow!! That is so beautiful..!!
@Yollymac thank you ☺️ free them from seed and they’ve exceeded my expectations! Big bright blooms and the most amazing colour foliage too
Gorgeous Kerry 😊 @kez001uk
@vinny3000 thanks Gary 😁 these have been great for months 😋
@gjones they’re lovely aren’t they 😀 will be on my list to grow next year 😛
Look stunning Kerry @kez001uk

Past their best but still showing up
@kez001uk Love those. They were the first flowers I grew from seed when I was about 12, with my Dad's encouragement 😊💟
@anges I love flowers that have memories attached 💗 they’re lovely too, the big psychedelic flowers are so cheery 😁
@gjones they really are and some of the foliage is the exact same colour!

Thought these were done but nope 😋
Wow those colours!! I love these Kez 😊😊❤💕
@midnightgardener thank you ☺️ they’re so bright, much needed in my garden at the moment! They’re even more vibrant in person 😍
@gjones thanks Katy ☺️ they just keep going!
@KelsiBriana aren’t they gorgeous 😊 been a real standout this year. Will definitely grow them again 😋
Wow 😲👌🏼
Wow great colours! 😍
Wonderful & hopefully will keep going in the warm weather 😊
@KelsiBriana hope you get yours soon ☺️
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom thank you Elaine 😁 even the foliage has changed colour to match the flowers 😂
@natii thanks Natalie 🙂 they’re not ones you can miss!
@jeatacake thanks Jeff 😊 it’s not been very warm here but the sun is shining so encouraging the last bit of flowering hopefully 😁

Beautiful @kez001uk
I don’t think the camera picks up the true colour of theses....beautiful 👌🏼
@bluefox23 thank you Alison 😁
@vinny3000 cheers Gary ☺️
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom thank you Elaine 😊 you’re right, they are kinda fluorescent-looking and much brighter than the photo shows. Phone camera and clouds didn’t help them any 😂
@gjones thank you ☺️

They're beautiful I love Daisies but I must get some of these. I've got 3 Leucanthemum, the.one on my rockery was fantastic this year. Did you gyo with this Kez?😊😊💛💛
@midnightgardener thank you ☺️ me too, love anything resembling a daisy. These I grew from seed, they’re well worth it too. The colours have been fantastic!
Such a great colour Kerry 💛💛
@gjones @pelly they’ve been a triumph. One to grow again 😛

@KelsiBriana thank you ☺️
Love these & the weather will have suited them just fine 👌
@jeatacake they have grown so much with the heat! Just wish they didn’t lay on the soil because the leaves rot so fast 😞
@gjones I’m sorry 😕 I’d have thought these would survive the horrid heat you’ve had
@gjones I can see that’s easy to do as mine lay on the soil and the leaves rot so fast
Also they are a favourite of slugs & snails 😯
@jeatacake slimy gits! Thankfully don’t get too many in my pots 🤞🏼
You are lucky. Thousands of them here ☹
@jeatacake think the gravel and pots help stop most. Still find them trying their luck sometimes!
I have so nany here that I have to resort to slug pellets in strategic areas, usually in the greenhouse or hidden dark corners of the garden where they & the snails hide 😕
@jeatacake they’re sneaky stealthy things aren’t they! One benefit of a concrete greenhouse floor is no slugs 😋 shame to use chemicals but sometimes it’s the only way. They just destroy all in sight otherwise 😟
They do indeed. By far the worst pest in the garden up here. Desperate measures needed! 😐

@gjones thanks 😀 I just love these 😍
Love the colour, and the centre - good contrast 😀
@richard.spicer.7906 this is the nicest so far. I love the centres of these too 😋 great minds... 😉
Indeed 😉 I used to grow lots of these when I was a teenager, not sure why I've not grown them for a while as they are a great little plant
@richard.spicer.7906 they’re certainly something I’ll grow again. Didn’t expect much after the seedlings appeared but this heat has really spurred them on! My teenage years were so long ago I can’t remember a thing about them 😂 be a nice little nostalgic addition to your garden next year 😛

These will love this weather 👍🌸
@jeatacake they’ve come on leaps and bounds but the leaves are so unusual 😂 not what I expected at all!
Yes, they look like little salt or sugar grains on them 👌😁
@jeatacake I thought they’d been attacked by something 😂

Livingstone daisy mixed
@bluefox23 look what I found 😍
Love these 😍 I think slugs or snails got mine during all the wet weather 😞
Fantastic looking flowers the colours are so vibrant
@jeatacake they’re fabulous aren’t they 😛 love when a new colour combination opens up 😂 damn evil slimy 🤬’s!!!
@alan1111 colours really are gorgeous 😍 and they just go on and on flowering too
@gjones never had one like this before, love it 😛
I don't know why I didn't do any this year I usually do I'm regretting it now 😂
It's great isn't it, like you say when they open up I the sun with so many subtle variations 👌😍
Yay!! 🤗 beautiful 💕 this looks like the one of mine that was red to start off with!
@alan1111 won’t be long til you can get next years started 😉😉🤣
@jeatacake nice having flowers that surprise you 😛
@bluefox23 oh that’s the one you circled that changed overnight 😜 must check mine now 😂
