From what I understand hebe are part of the genus veronica so they're called shrubby veronica to distinguish from perennial veronicas. But everyone calls them hebe because of that's their Latin name. @kez001uk @jeatacake

@gjones I haven’t had this one flower yet but moved it to a sunnier spot in hopes there’s still time this summer. Looks unlikely though. I’m sorry to hear they don’t survive where you are 😟 is it the harsh winters?

@gjones that’s a shame, they’re lovely foliage plants and the flowers are cute too ☺️ generally the winters in Cambridge aren’t too bad. We are in a dip so a lot of the worst goes over us. We go below zero a bit but only by a couple of degrees for the most part. How about you?

@gjones oh my god 😱 I can’t even imagine how it is to live in temperatures like that! I guess you become used to it but that’s harsh! Wow. No wonder some plants don’t suit your climate 😔
