Such a lovely one 🤍🩷🤍
So pretty 🤩
@pelly @juliesgarden thanks ladies 🤍 the little pink buds are too sweet 🥰
Looks great. Mine's not done so well this year. Lots of flowers, but much smaller than usual for some reason 🤔
@jeatacake same! The flower heads are much smaller on this too. Julie or Jane said the same about theirs 😐
It must be the strange weather patterns we've had over the last 9 months. Going from one extreme to another 😕

Beautiful 💖
This is such a beautiful hydrangea 💗🤍💗
@anges @pelly thanks Ange & Jane 😁 soon as there’s a decent amount of rain it turns pink so fast 🤍💕
Lovely, lovely! Was this the one from your grandparents? If I remember from last year?
@jmlincoln you have a great memory!!! 😮 it was one they bought me early on in my gardening addiction 😂 extra special since losing my Nan last year - and it’s bloomed like crazy this summer too 🥰
Aww yay! That is super special 🤗
That's coloured up nicely. Mine's still white, mainly due to being in the shade of the wisteria!
@jeatacake my wisteria couldn’t shade an ant! 🤣 it does look so pretty when it’s pure white 🤍 the rain helped this colour up far too fast 😐
My wisteria completely blocks out the light for everything near it. Some don't seem to mind, but others are definitely not liking it 🤔
@jeatacake no wonder it flowers so much! Sounds absolutely huge! You’ve unwittingly created another shady border 😂
I've created a monster that's for sure! At least my vanilla fraise has changed to pink now. Just delayed it by a couple of weeks.

Beautiful 🤩
Stunning 🤍🤍😍
What a beauty Kerry!💘😍
@pelly it is gorgeous how it changes 😍
@italydiva thanks Angela 😀
@hkyfvr thanks Diane 😃
@ShelleySnyder thanks Shelley 😄
@gjones thanks Katy 😁 I forgot to prune it this year and looks like it was happy I left it alone 🤣
Always welcome Kerry 😍

Love this photo. Great capture. Love the name of the hydrangea. Strawberry Vanilla. 💚💕
Beautiful photo👍 #buzz
Fabulous shot…👌🏼
@hkyfvr thank you Diane 😀 it’s a perfect name once it is in full bloom 🤍💗
@crabby58 thank you Thelma 😃
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom thank you Elaine 😄
Most welcome. Should be so pretty. 💗🤍🌟

Beautiful at every stage 💗
@jmlincoln thanks Jackie ☺️ the colour changes are so pretty, especially now it’s coming to an end. Love how they start looking aged 😍
Like a fine wine 🤭
@jmlincoln 🍷😋
@gjones thanks Katy 😁 they’re great to watch change, although happened a lot faster this year 😜
I only got one flower on mine this year and it's just starting to change from white 🤍💗
@jeatacake only one?? They look so beautiful when they’re changing 🤍💗
Yes 😏 I'm wondering if it's too shady where I've planted it, or it needs to settle in a bit having only planted it out less than a year ago? 🤔
@jeatacake could be both perhaps. This did very little for the first 2 years but is covered with flowers this summer since it was moved to a sunnier spot
I'll leave it for now as it has put on a good amount of new growth this year, so 🤞 a few more flowers next year. If not, I may have to move it.
@jeatacake I think that’s the best thing. This one seems a little like Glam Rock, likes a bit of settling in time before it puts on a show 😅

Looking good 🌼 Mind's just getting going now flowering-wise.
The flowers remind me of little butterflies and I love the transition from white to pink. So cute!
@gjones thank you Katy 😊
@jeatacake thanks Jeff ☺️ least yours has missed the vile heat so will stay blooming for a while 😍 I’m still waiting on my 3 cheesy hydrangeas 😜
@jmlincoln I see that! 🦋 this one goes through some pretty colour changes. Even looks great as it fades 💕🤍
Cheesy! 😂😂😂
@jeatacake thankfully only in name 🤣🤣🤣

@gjones thanks Katy 😀 nice to have some still in bloom whilst the others are fading
Oh my, this is a beauty! 💘😍
Pretty in pink 💕
@ShelleySnyder thank you Shelley 😃 they get so dark before they crisp up 😜
@anges thanks Ange 😄 think it’s the best stage of colour, improves with age 💗
My pleasure!💘😍
Wow, that's really gone pink! 💖 Just had to go & check mine out & it's not as pink as that yet. 👍
@jeatacake think they get this dark just before they die back. Hopefully yours still have plenty of life left in them 😛
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom thank you Elaine 😁
Definitely a fav hydrangea of mine!

Lovely so pretty
@pattygardd thank you Patricia ☺️
These always remind me of an ice cream 😃 strawberry & vanilla 🍧🍨
@gjones the ombré effect is so pretty 💕 this year I have so many flower heads, going to look great when they all darken
@jeatacake oh yum, a massive 99 🤤 you can have the strawberry bit 😉
Wouldn't that be great if they really did grow on trees! 😋 We can go half each on the flake? 😉
@jeatacake we’d be the size of a house though 😜 definitely, gotta share the crumbliest flakiest chocolate cos it tastes like chocolate never tasted before! 🤣🤣🤣
That song's going back a bit! ☺ I think extreme willpower would be needed with such an ice cream tree. I'd be more like a block of flats within a few weeks otherwise! 🏬
@jeatacake it’s weird the things you remember 🤣 apparently chocolate adverts are ingrained in my brain 🙈 but what a way to become flat-sized 🤤🍦🍨🍧
I can understand it, being a bit of a secret chocoholic too & I can certainly think of worse ways to end up like that!! 😂😂😂
@jeatacake I have to confess I’m not really a fan of chocolate 🙈 too much tv as a kid makes me remember the adverts though 😂

Full of huge blooms. Will be at least 12 😍
@gjones really has come into its own this year! Enjoying seeing everything maturing now my garden is a couple of years old 😋
@gjones I’m always disappointed with new plants as I mostly buy tiny sized ones. But you’re right, a couple of years and they show their potential!
Just scrolled through and saw all the changes!! What a fabulous show it puts on for you!
@jmlincoln it’s a real beauty, given to me by my grandparents so has lovely memories attached ☺️ might not get a decent show from it this year after the heatwave took its toll 🥵
Aww that's sweet to have a plant given by grandparents 😊 You cherish that one!
@jmlincoln I most definitely do! They’re both mid 80’s now and still isolating so haven’t seen them properly since March ☹️
That's tough!! 😕 How are things with covid where you are? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel yet?!
@jmlincoln honestly it’s not been too bad all along in my area. Fortunately Cambridge is a university city so once the virus started to get had a big majority of people left. Parts of the country are being put into lockdown again as they have outbreaks but have been quite fortunate here. How about you? Are you doing ok?
All is well here. Just finding a new normal of wearing face masks. I am a homebody anyway and have always been cautious of germs. I have asthma and hate to get sick because when I do, it gets bad! So not much has changed in my own little world 🤷🏼♀️
@jmlincoln I’m glad to hear it ☺️ we sound very alike. I always tell people my life has barely changed since all this started. Lockdown was no challenge since I rarely leave the house 😂 having asthma must make you extra vigilant but that’s never a bad thing. I suffer from bad health anxiety so I get you on the germ thing 😷
We were cool before it was cool to stay home and wash our hands Kerry 😂 Who knew we'd set a new trend hahaha It's a crazy world we live in

@gjones it’s amazing they start this white but end up so dark 💗
@gjones me too, it’s a lovely plant to watch ☺️
Gorgeous 😍😍
Great that you'll an action repay of the first one! 👍
@pelly thanks Jane ☺️
@jeatacake there’s 3 new blooms so hopefully still time for them to change colour before going crispy 😂
🤞if it doesn't get soggy like here! 😀
@jeatacake oh it’s like that here now 😔
I've been out for most of the morning in the gloom & as soon as I came in for lunch, it became sunny!
@jeatacake ain’t it always the way 🤣
Hmmmm, yep & then it changed again & rained on the washing 😟
@jeatacake the weather hasn’t been your friend today huh!!! 😕

@jeatacake you may have been right about the colour!
@kez001uk That is lovely! 💟💟💟
@anges thank you Ange 😊 it’s dying bs k now but still looks lovely and is getting darker. Plus have some fresh blooms just starting to turn pink 😋
@gjones thank you ☺️
You never know! 😁💜💙🖤
Wow! I don’t think mine ever got that dark. Although mine has been neglected in a pot at the moment. It’s probably hungry.
@richard.spicer.7906 congratulations on your career change ☺️ wishing you every success 😊 I didn’t expect it to get this dark from any photos I’ve seen. Maybe the excess sun has moved it along more than it typically would? Hope yours gets a feed and rewards you next year 🤞🏼
Aw, thanks Kerry 😊, I’m looking forward to getting stuck in with the studying. Could be the weather - mine doesn’t normally get this dark. But I’ve got one flower which is now going pink so will see if it does the same 👍🏼
@richard.spicer.7906 can imagine it’s really rewarding getting to do something you’re passionate about ☺️ yours can’t be neglected you bad if it’s flowering 😉 hope it colours up for you before the cold sets in 🙂
Well it has hardly any leaves 😂 - I'm surprised it's still alive to be honest.
@richard.spicer.7906 😂 bless it! It’s just showing you it’s potential so it gets fed 😉

Something old, something new
@gjones I’m so in love with the colour it is now. To think it started green!
@gjones me too. I’d only ever had a white one before so this has been so good to watch change. Even the brown flowers look lovely 😋
It's amazing. I wonder what colour it will finally end up? Violet maybe? 😁💖💜
@jeatacake oooh violet would be lovely! It’s starting to go brown though so not sure how much deeper the colour is going to get
That would be too much to hope for I suppose, but you've certainly had your monies worth from it though 👍
@jeatacake most definitely has been a giver! And there’s still 3 new flower heads to pink up 😁 I think the rain has rotted the older ones a bit faster than if they’d kept dry. Mini umbrellas for them next year 🤣☂️
Ha ha ha! Great though you have more to come. Maybe still a chance for violet or even indigo 😁👍
@jeatacake I will keep hoping but they’re a pink to brown ombré at the moment 🤣

They are so pretty 💕
@gjones just wish they didn’t need staking but are so heavy and the rain pulled them down. But I won’t complain about rain after all that heat 😂

Love them when they look rustic...😍
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom me too 😁 never grown this kind before so am surprised they last so long, even after the heavy rain we’ve had. They look gnarled but still impressive
It's really changed colour. Getting better with age 👌
@jeatacake doesn’t everything Jeff 😉
Lol Kerry, yes, in many ways 😉😮😁 but I wasn't speaking personally though! 😂
@gjones and even better that there are new blooms just starting to flower 😁
@jeatacake 🤣🤣🤣
@kez001uk Hope mine turn that shade 💗

Need a flake in that!
@jeatacake now you’re talking! 😛
Could just murder one right now! 😝🍦
I love this one, I’ve got a neglected one which really needs to be planted in the ground but just never got round to it. Will definitely give it a new home in September 👍🏼
@jeatacake you and me both! 😋
@richard.spicer.7906 I didn’t expect it to like it really, it’s a new plant and only a couple of flower heads have appeared. But they’re huge! It’s definitely one to watch as it changes colour. Hope yours gets a bit more love come September 😛

@gjones it’s strange how it colours up though! I was expecting new flowers to be pink but it’s as if it’s getting a suntan 😅
@ukjohnny thank you John 😁 they’re such lovely plants to photograph 😍
That's beautiful 😍
@jeatacake thanks 😀 it’s really starting to be like the photos I’ve seen. Strange one though
Very welcome 👍Not got one of this type. Must find space for one 🤔😁
@jeatacake can always find space for a hydrangea 😉😉
I don't need any encouragement @kez001uk 😉😁
@jeatacake 🤣🤣🤣 sorry 😇

That’s beautiful!!
@Yollymac thank you 😊 it has changed into so many colours so far but can’t wait for the pink to come 💕
Please post it again when it’s pink - I would love to see the change!
@Yollymac I will do 😁 from the photos I’ve seen they are pink one end and white the other, like an ombré effect. I hope they turn out that way!

@gjones just need the strawberry ones now 🍓
@cyndi that’s the one! Does it really end up looking like the packaging says? Hope so 🤞🏼
@cyndi oh I’m happy to hear that! The flower cluster is so big now, 6”+, so will be quite a sight when it’s the correct colour 😍 I hope yours flourishes ☺️
@cyndi thank you for the links 👍🏼 I’ll take a look at them, hydrangeas are definitely plants I want more of so worth learning how to care for them properly. Thanx cyndi 😊
Oooh that's pretty 💚
@cyndi me too! 5 plants, 1 in full bloom, 1 starting (this one), one just budding and 2 being lazy 😂
