It flowered last year at this time didn’t it Kerry 🤔💞💞

I actually saw one just like this last week in full flower. It must be a particular species which does naturally flower at this time of the year. The other possibility is that they're originally from the southern hemisphere & this is their spring there now? 🤔

Flowering again 😜 this magnolia seems to have its own schedule entirely 🤣 #magnolia

There’s a massive one round the corner from me that nearly always flowers twice. It’s lovely to see 💗💗💗

@hkyfvr @pelly @KOutdoors it’s crazy how some plants just do their own thing 😂 it was a wrongly-named plant so could well be it’s a variety that’s meant to repeat flower 🤔 it was the end of September when it flowered for the first time so god only knows 🤣

@KOutdoors I assumed it was because I’d pruned it at the wrong time but it’s flowered 3 times in under a year 😂 I had to stop buying from Thompson & Morgan because I was ending up with more wrong plants than right 😤

@KOutdoors they do have some great bargains, especially end of season ones. They’re worth taking a chance on. Most issues I had with them were bulbs. It’s crazy to flower so much 😂 first flowered the day my aunt died last September and then again in spring. Round 3 now 🤯

They have minds of their own. They flower when they are good and ready. 😆😁

@KOutdoors I’ll stress it out more often if it means flowers 🤣😂 the weather has messed with the plants for sure. Half of mine think it’s autumn now! 🤪

I've scanned back through my photos and yours and my flowers seem to be a little lighter but that could be to do with the light when they were photographed. It's so difficult to tell 🤔

@pelly I did the same and agree, yours does look lighter. This is looking very different to when it first flowered, a lot more white than before. I’ll keep it as a maybe 😅

@alan1111 just nature I suppose, even if it’s frustrating 😜 none seem to be opening properly but the buds are bringing a bit of colour until the leaves appear 😁

Can be a pain in the a.. at times 😩 they might open yet🤞so you can enjoy them to their fullest

This magnolia has never flowered before but on Sunday it decided to. I didn’t know it then but my aunt passed on Sunday morning so I like to think it opened for her 💗 no idea of the variety - another wrong one from T&M - but I’ll call it Jane from now on 💕💞💕 #magnolia
