Actually I didn't knew these are also grown ornamental garden plants. @kez001uk I thought it's only used for smoking...😆😆😆.

I thought I got all the roots last year. obviously I didn't they have poped back up this year.

Beautiful plant love them. I only found out the other day that the elephant hawk moth (beautiful) feeds on the flowers

I want to try the smaller annual ones next year. Apparently, they're worth it even if just for the fragrance. @kez001uk

The RHS had an article about plants that attract moths at night, nicotiana, evening primrose, rose bay willow herb and honeysuckle were all mentioned @kez001uk

@ublaszko you must! I grew them a couple of summers ago, we’re just free plugs from an online order, but the scent was incredible! Planted them below my sweet peas though so missed it until they stopped flowering 🤣

@alan1111 I used to see a lot on my night scented stocks last year but forgot to grow them this year 🙄 I think we sometimes forget moths as we aren’t really about in the garden to see them. And not much is advertised as moth-friendly 😐

Yes that article mentioned night scented stock as well. I haven't grown it the last couple of years. Not the best looking plant but more than makes up for it a night 👍

I quite like the colour of the annual ones, especially the lime green ones. This one is a cracker too but too tall for me.

@cyndi you’ve not had any joy with them? I can’t say I had too much myself. Sowed a tray full and got 2 to germinate. Took a while too!

@alan1111 I’m so glad it’s made it to flowering 😁 I leaned over to take the photo and I’ve never smelled anything like it! The leaves are so strong 😜

They are a beautiful flower. I like the smell of the leaves even when you touch them the small stays with you. The leaves get huge, the length of your arm. Do worry the flowers have a nice scent at night. It's also a very sticky plant 😜

@alan1111 I’m getting used to the smell now, it’s very intense 😜 I was surprised they get so big! Yours looked amazing so got a lot to live up to 😛 and I noticed the stickiness today 😝 spilled soil and it has covered the leaves 🤣

Me to! Neither was I, the leaves are huge and the scent off them and been sticky. They might not get so big been so late in the season😊💕

The flowers are great long and slender with a nice scent. I know I'll be growing them again next year 😉

I forgot to mention they are in flower for a long time 👍 I've taken photo today that's been in flowe for ages 😉 I'll post it now
