Cute little things when they open 🤍 #oxalis #oxalis-versicolour #candy-cane-sorrel

So very pretty. Love the red edging on a perfect white flower. 😍

The simple flowers belie how beautiful they are before they’re fully open 🤍❤️🤍

@hkyfvr @gjones @pelly @KOutdoors thank you muchly 🤍 must admit I thought there would be more red when they opened but love that you can see it through the delicate petals, just about 🧐 definitely a flower that looks better in bud form 🤍❤️

Always welcome Kerry. Pretty in both forms 😍😍

It kinda loses its candy stripes, it’s a pretty little flower though…

@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom it sadly does 😐 might be a bit more impressive when it’s a better sized plant 🤞🏻 a bit disappointing for all the fuss it has needed

🤍🤍🤍

@godfreye thank you Enid 😀 it’s had more flowers since this one so maybe it’s finally happy 🙏🏻

Not seen you for a while Kerry, hope you’re ok??!

@sieveheadsarah hey Sarah ☺️ thank you for thinking of me 🙏🏻 have had flu quite bad and am only just about coming out the other side after 3+ weeks. Hope you’re keeping well 💚

Oh no Kerry that’s not good, I had it once and have to say it was flipping awful, knocked every ounce of energy out of me, I hope you feel better soon, take care of yourself 👍🏼

Might not look like much but there is a flower bud, finally!!! 🥳❤️🤍 #oxalis #oxalis-versicolour #candy-cane-sorrel

Yay. Pretty colours on your bud 😍😍

Oh wow, that’s brilliant. Mine have died over the summer but at least I eventually got to see them in flower last year ❤️🤍❤️

I've just planted some of these Kerry 👌😯

I’m curious to see them open…don’t forget to put it on…👌🏼

Nice one 👍 Not seen anyone post these on here for ages.

@hkyfvr can see where it gets the name can’t you 😛

@pelly was so surprised to see it! The whole thing died back in the first heatwave and this little tiny bit of regrowth decided to flower after years of waiting 😂 has yours definitely died?

@flof1952 I wish you faster success with yours Pauline 🙏🏻 I keep mine outside all year round and it’s not the most productive plant for it 🤣

@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom the flowers are so small that photos aren’t too great 😜 but will post an open shot tonight 😁

@jeatacake thanks Jeff 😀 it’s been a pain but I don’t treat it very well really 🙈 just lovely to get a flower finally 😍 I’ve only seen Jane & Rich post it in recent times 🤔

I sure can. Lovely stripes. 😍😍

Bigger but still no flowers ☹️ #oxalis #oxalis-versicolour #candy-cane-sorrel

I've only had three or four flowers on one plant, none on the others though. Fussy little things aren't they Kerry 🙄

@pelly they’re strange little plants 😂 treat them all the same and they all do different things 🙈 but those make you want to try extra hard to keep them happy 😜

That’s very true 👍 @kez001uk

Where do you keep it over summer?

@richard.spicer.7906 it’s in the same place all year round, in partial shade in front of a warm wall (tumble dryer outlet 🤣). It’s doing better there than anywhere else I’ve had it, greenhouse included 🤔

Oh I see. I guess it gets water then during the summer. Mine stays in the polytunnel, and I only water it from September through to May and then let it die back over summer with no water.

@richard.spicer.7906 I think I’m going to try your method. Might actually get it to flower then 😂

🤞🏼🤞🏼🙂

Yay! Yours is a little ahead of mine. Looking forward to seeing it bloom

@richard.spicer.7906 seeing yours the other day prompted me to check on this one 😂 it’s taken a year to even get this big. Not sure why I’ve struggled with these so much but hopefully it’s on its way now 🤞🏻 the flowers are so great aren’t they ❤️ I expect yours will come long before my slowpoke! 😂

Blimey! That’s flowering early. Mine is not even awake yet?
