Well done 👍 This is only one of two plants that were already in my garden when I moved here 6 years ago. Still going strong now & very much maintenance-free.

I think this might be in a flower mix for drying I got in Poland last year. I sowed them in my flowerbeds so fingers crossed something will come up 😌

@jeatacake they’re such lovely flowers so I’m happy it’s going to bloom after over 2 years 😂 they sound like the perfect plant 😋

5w

kez001uk

@ublaszko was that the mix with strawflowers? The foliage is quite nice too, compared with normal cornflowers. Silvery but not scraggly 💚

5w

ublaszko

Yes, that's the one 😊👍

5w

kez001uk

@ublaszko liked the look of that 😋 you’ll get some great ones from that mix 😍

Hoping they germinate at all. No sign of them yet but perhaps I'm being impatient. 😉

5w
comment
kez001uk

@ublaszko you’ve got used to your seeds shooting up in no time, that’s why 😉

5w
comment
ublaszko

Could be that 😉 I mostly sow seeds indoors and I'm used to them germinating within a week 😂 Last year I sowed penstemon Huskers Red seeds but they didn't germinate after a month so I threw them away. This year I've read they take 1 to 4 months to germinate 😂😂 I sowed a batch a month ago and so far nothing has happened yet. 😴 @kez001uk

5w
comment
kez001uk

@ublaszko some seeds can stay dormant for months! You were lucky you’re germinated so well and have grown so well too. Saying that, waiting months for a seed to say hi takes too much patience 😂

5w
comment
ublaszko

Still waiting for any signs of germination of hellebore seeds I sowed in January. I'll find out in 14 more months at the latest if the seeds were viable 😂😂

Those leaves look familiar but just can't think what they are. Cross between a potato & a dahlia maybe? 🤔😁

Could possibly be centaura dealbata but looks similar to Dahlia leaves or potato as Jeff suggested ? 😮

6w
comment
kez001uk

@jeatacake @Keely thanks to you both 😁 I don’t think they could be either though, definitely not a hybrid Jeff 😂😂😂 I’ll check if I had seeds for centaura dealbata though, cheers Keely. Wouldn’t mind if they are those! 😛

@gjones it does look like potato foliage but don’t think it can be. I have a few pots of whatever it is though so hopefully some silk survive long enough to flower

@moore.794 I do remember sowing some of those so could possibly be. Thank you ☺️
