Doing ok now it’s finally stopped getting scorched 🔥

@gjones I have had a terrible time with this one. It started so well and had a little of the pink foliage but the heatwave hit and even in the shade it scorched 3 times. Luckily it’s had rapid new growth each time but seems to prefer it’s new spot. Fingers crossed it’s happy here 😋

Can you tell if it has been grafted? If so, 🤞 all that new growth us above the graft. 👍

@jeatacake it’s been grafted, the growth is all top growth and looking healthy so hope he’s turned a corner 🤞🏼

The heat had totally obliterated this tree a few days ago. Cut all the dead away in hopes it might make a recovery. Not a sign of life in it but 3 days later and this is happening 😁😁😁

@gjones that’s what I had it it but it looked like it had been windburned. Was awful and went like it in a matter of hours. Can still see some black on the branches where it scorched so bad 😢 just hope it’s on the road to recovery now 🙏🏼

I've always looked at these and thought 'I'll get a couple of those'. Still haven't. I'm now thinking it again 😂. This may be the year.

@mrsburns I saw it in a local supermarket and couldn’t resist. Was such an unusual colour for a tree. And it’s grown so much since I got it just a couple of months ago. I don’t think you’d regret adding one or two to your lovely garden 💖

I'm really trying my absolute hardest to stop buying plants. I've recently completely started my borders again. They're already full. I still came home from GWL with loads yesterday. But you should never say never 🙊
