@KOutdoors they’re quite different looking when they open 😂 I love them but expect they’re an acquired taste 😜 planted a few when I first started gardening and they all come back each year but only one will flower 🤔

@KOutdoors I like to think it’s because they don’t want to overwhelm me with too much beauty 🤭😅 in reality I think they’re just lazy 🤣 I think many tulips aren’t too reliable at coming back after the first year so I guess I’m lucky they return at all

@KOutdoors the little species types seem to be much more reliable. I tend to keep tulips for a couple of years to get what I can from them 😂

Oh, I didn't know they were old bulbs. That's still great they reflower. I treat tulips as annuals here as they don't produce flowers in subsequent years.

@ublaszko think only one has ever re-flowered but better than nothing 🤣 am fortunate that most tulips return down here but they seem better treated as annuals
