It looks lovely with purple and yellow adding contrasts. Viola reminds of the play "Twelfth Night." When l was in school in UK l tried to read it for GCE exam. Never mind how l did. Someday l'm going to get the story right. So there is still hope, and the flower to go back to.
@newbud it’s nice you have the memory of studying here through these flowers 😁 Shakespeare is a difficult read at the best of times, let alone at GCSE age 😜
@kez001uk l still have the Cole note. But apart from that l had the most fun while in that school. It was in Herts, just north of London, and every Wednesday we went on field trips to London or Cambridge to explore. At night we wenr to see a play. Sadly, l didn't go to Kew Gardens. Had l gone, l'll know far more about plants 😁
@newbud you came to Cambridge?? That’s where I live! Did you ever visit the botanic gardens here? They’re beautiful. But bit a patch on Kew. Would love to visit there someday too
Hi @kez001uk l'm afraid l didn't have much interest in plants back then. This happened in the last 2 years, so l'm trying my best to catch up. You have been really great with your help about plants. My family lived in Kuwait when l went to UK to study. It was a lot to take in, and going on field trips helped me a lot to explore on my own. l have a lot of interests like photograpy and collecting coins to keep me busy So l hope it's not too late to study about plants. 😁
@newbud I’m the same, only got my first plant ever in 2016 - so we can learn together 😁 anything I can do to help, please ask 😊 lots of people on here are so friendly and helpful so it’s a great place to learn ☺️ wow, must have been hard to be away from your parents at such a young age, but will have taught you lots of lessons too! It’s never too late to learn about something new 🌹🌷🌻🌵🌴🌱

They have a nice colour combination
@alan1111 thank you Alan ☺️
This is like a classic viola for me 😊 I remember my parents having some in their garden 😍
