From your snowless pictures, I would think you are somewhere "warmer" then zone 6. I have seen them come back in microclimates which get snow. You should be set, just make sure they get water when thirsty.
do these flowers come back in spring?

actually they are older pictures, I'm in Indiana. But hopefully you're right.
