Because I didn't get round to planting them out, I've just chicken them in some composting the greenhouse until I find somewhere to plant them out. I still have all my white onions to do yet. 28/01/23

How long did it take for these to peep through soil?

I put them in on the 18/05/19 and started to come though after a few days some about a week @sharonhayden

Oh that’s quick mine have been 2 weeks but no sign of life- maybe I need to water them- do you?

Yeah I water them when it's dry @sharonhayden just water them every other day of its not raining hopefully they will come though soon.

Yeah that's the ones I'm on about... One started to flower the other day I chopped it off... Was waiting for them to flop but they aren't yet but want to get them before it's to late.. Do you think they can handle being in till next Tuesday? Get inspection mon-tue 😁😁😁 @linfoster

I just bought them from the shops in a bag full of little onions @Sussanah and put them on soil.. I would have put them straight out into the allotment but it is to flooded to plant them out. 💚

Hi @kimmy01 are these going to grow into bigger onions or make lots more- stupid question but I don’t know how it goes with onions!!!

Onions grow into bigger ones but garlic and shallots grow more around... Not a stupid question I never used to know 👍😊 @sharonhayden
