This has grown quickly over the past month, thank goodness.
I had exactly ONE babypumpkin 🤪
Yeah most people didn't do well this year, me included. Luckily this one plant done.. ok. This is definitely the worst year for pumpkins. @lifeonaroofterrace

10 pumpkins planted 😅 next door didn't want any so I've just chucked them in. Definitely more than I normally plant this close. Will see what happens.

Is it a #courgette or not 🤣🤣 I thought it was a pumpkin as it should have been but then grew long like a courgette but now it's turning orange . ? Maybe it is a pumpkin after all. Do green courgettes turn yellow/orange? @charlotte
I'm thinking marrow. 🤔🤔🤔
I had a pumpkin do excatly that a few years ago but it is as pumpkin 🎃
They cross cheerfully with zukes, gourds and whatnot with no regard for your Halloween plans 🎃

A bit more convinced I mixed the pumpkin and courgette plants up! 😅
Urm... yup 😂
🤣🤣 You can make nice stew with marrow. My mum always makes leczo (courgette and pepper stew) at the end of the season. https://magdascauldron.com/2017/08/27/leczo-lecso-pepper-courgette-stew/ (not sure what the lard is about, I'd use olive oil). @kimmy01 @charlotte
Looks delicious and I could easily make that vegetarian @ublaszko
Exactly. We make it either meat based or vegetarian option and both taste great. Also the veggie option much healthier as smoked sausage or chorizo are high in saturated fat. You can add beans instead if you want protein. @charlotte

Finily getting going now after they had a knock about by the wind when they where little a few weeks back. 😅
My squash suffered in the wind too. But I think they are beginning to recover. I can see flowers forming.
Horrible isn't it, I think it set mine back a lot. I'm sure they are bigger this time of year, this is my biggest plant the others are smaller still! Hopefully we will have pumpkins for Halloween. @charlotte
My cucumbers also suffered. Growing now but I fear we might run out of summer before I get any harvest. But the tomatoes and aubergines and peppers are doing really well this year.
Oh yes I forget you have them growing outside, I'm a bit behind growing my peppers I might not get any! :o @charlotte

I have a couple of these on the allotment 👌
Do you do anything to them @EMC425 or just leave them to it?
Beer but not yet; I hand pollinate and tie the flowers to ensure I get the right pumpkin (they cross pollinate easy). Remove any pumpkins that form close to the base or at funny angles (don't let it grow ontop of itself, many problems!!) when you have a few tiny pumpkins raise them above grown (suggest an old wooden create with a layer of straw on top with slug pellets on around and under the pallet) when the first one starts to 'over take' remove the others
Feed with tomato food mix until t
It starts to turn in colour then switch to a mix of local brewed ale mixed with water once a week after sundown adding slug pellets at all times and increasing the the amount of water as it grows. Avoid watering the leaves-always water along all vines, is leaves show signs of wilt it need more water if they show signs of burn-shade them through the hottest hours
Sorry about the gaps, my phone is screen is broken. I hope this helps :)
