First cucamelon of the year 💚

Oh what the ones we saw a Kew yesterday Lin? It could have been🤔 just been looking back at photo's I took yesterday but not of that one 🙄😄 @linfoster

I tried to grow cucameloms and they died 🤣😭😭

Looking forward to watching this grow as I have been after one myself.

I would really like to grow cucamelons and so I ordered seeds for next year! Do you have any tips on germinating/growing them? 😄

Just like cucumbers @lewis8232 In the greenhouse with a lid over them until they germinate... 😊 keep repotting and they will grow, they need support. If you swipe right on this picture you'll see when I grew them last year. 👍💚

Gave the school a cucamelon plant after relazing I was the only one eating them last year 😁 2 plants will do me one for allotment one for home... And this one has flower buds 💚

No not really sure how they will do in the north east outside @bandicoot I was thinking in the greenhouse and Polly tunnel.. Already planted one in the home greenhouse. @bandicoot

Just wondered 😀 I tried a hanging basket in Derbyshire last year but dried out, but did better in a container and in the plastic tomato greenhouse - think we had 3 whole fruit! 😂 @kimmy01

I might end up doing them outside if I run out of space then 😊 I got loads of fruit from mine in the greenhouse @bandicoot

Yes @Emma915Jones I grew them last year.. I tried to over winter them but they turned to mush.. I'll try again 👍

Young? Maybe I left them too long. I do agree with the gin but I don’t drink enough to warrant the excessive crop. Enjoy them :-)

LoL I understand I'm giving them another go plus I have a pollytunel to set up I want them in at the allotment... If I get sick I can trade with someone 😂 @Emma915Jones

They taste like cucumber but a bit sweeter @scaryskates they have a crunch to them

I'm actually glad @charlotte it will give me a chance to sort the garden and allotment out :)

Apparently, if you keep the roots frost free, they'll grow again next year. I didn't know that until I'd already pulled all mine up last year!
