A few bunches of basil planted in the greenhouse 21/05/18

Can you please give me tips on how to grow basil seeds. I've failed three times in germinating them. I used normal sandy soil, cocopeat soil vermicompost and sand only. But the results are very bad, nothing grows. I emptied entire packets of mint basil, dark opal basil, lettuce leaf basil, Italian broad basil, sweet basil and Thai basil but only 5 seeds germinated and they too are weak @kimmy01

Got a few different herbs from wilcos sale last yeah that I've never heard of.. I still need to sow them. I'll have to have another crazy sowing session 😀 @linfoster

@linfoster https://www.wilko.com I’m sure there must be one near you. It’s a homeware store. In the same sort of vein as home bargains and b&m. Unfortunately the plants in my local Wilkos never look great as the store is in a shopping mall and doesn’t have any natural light! 😊

Omg yes that's it @bluefox23 I love wilcos I thought they where everywhere @linfoster they have everything. But yes sometimes the live plants suffer

They normally do end of session sale seeds 10 for £1 or things like that 😁 and they still have a few years on them @linfoster as well as other garden things

Nope its in seed compost that been in the greenhouse for about a month or more that's why its looking a little yuck @linfoster its in the greenhouse in a pot
