Cut down the raspberries finally. I'm actually moving them to a large container because they spread way too easily, are in the way a bit and I need more space for a future project 😀
I am also looking to cut back the raspberries in my garden. I want to encourage them to stay in one section and make it easier for my kids to pick it themselves (3 and 1.5yr olds). When they produced fruit last year, they were a bit ramble-y and unruly making it hard for the kids to reach the best ones. Will be watching your project with interest! Do update if you can. ♥️
Yes it was difficult for me to harvest mine last year the rows aren't big enough, if I get more growing space in the future I'll make some big rows but for now these are going to go in a big planter. Also the next door neighbour wasn't happy they have all spread into his raised beds 🤦♀️ oops I'll plant better next time if I ever grow them in the ground again. I will post pictures when I have them planted up 👍 @omolayon
We're lucky our neighbor has a 5 yr old so he would come by several times to pick berries as well! 😂😂 But yes, they spread so quickly!! Will be interesting to see if they stay within the planter. Looking forward to the updates!

Autumn raspberry's cut down ✔️
I have many raspberry canes in this garden I've moved to but they have all been topped by the previous owner just taking a hedge trimmer and cutting them to about 2ft high 😳😟☹ not expecting much of a crop this year
Oh no that sounds like a pain :O and a lot of effort to fix, it will be worth it other the next few years to sort it out though. Good luck @jpea

It always rains when these are ready and they get ruined before I can harvest them 😬
