Melothria pendula

I was visiting a friend today standing by the pool when I looked down and saw this climbing up his deck. I'm growing cucamelons and this wild creeping cucumber looks exactly like it... down to the flowers! I did some research and found that they are edible and pretty tasty when green, but stay away from the ripened black ones or it'll have you running for the outhouse!!💩

Oooh...I have something similar. I've never tried veggies, only flowers but decided to try the "container " variety. It just put out vine looking shoots yesterday. Is this what the cuc's will grow on? @Kuhnjuice
