Not a huge fan of #tomato and doubt these will even ripen in time. Had about 20 fruits this year and eaten 0 of them 🙈 I put them on the bird feeder, something seems to enjoy them

My tomatoes weren't good this year any idea can I freeze chillies got an abundance of them

@TriciaDickson - you can freeze chilli. Not sure how good they taste frozen though. Maybe do what people do with garlic and dice it and put it in an ice cube tray for when you use?

Fry your green tomatoes. Try my #recipe # fried green tomatoes. Mine never changed colour either but they were mighty tasty!

I made green tomato chutney last year- it was so delicious that I am disappointed at not having any this year to make some!

It's the old shelving from a plastic greenhouse, really works! Just when it grows taller, so I still have some sticks @lilium

This weather is indeed nuts! Especially for us up North at the moment eh. I'd put that particular one down to bad luck, I bet the rest do fine 👍

Apparently it's called catfacing! It's to do with temperature drops. Still edible!

@kyleleonard it's suggested to take it off the vine and ripen indoors to prevent the ugly malformation. Also says to rest the vine for a bit then try growing fruit again.

So cut all the unripe fruit off? 😞 would it matter if I used it to make a sauce in a jar? @beckers1974

I suppose you could leave them on, they may just start to look a bit funny, that's all.

@kyleleonard I've read a post somewhere if you pop a banana skin on the base of the plant it helps ripen the fruits !! X
